Help test Novel Route

Novel Route is being tested on Google Play before it goes out to everyone. You'll need an Android phone and the Google account you use for the Play Store. Two steps, about two minutes:

1. Join the testers group

   This is what gives your Google account access to the test. Without it, step 2 won't work.

2. Get Novel Route on Google Play

   Open the testing page and press Become a tester. The page then says you're a tester: tap download it on Google Play to install Novel Route.

   Seeing “Item not found”? Check you joined the group with the same Google account as your Play Store. If you did, Google Play hasn't caught up yet: try again a bit later.

Google asks new apps to be tested by a small group for at least 14 days, so sticking with it for a fortnight really helps.

What to try

• Do the street libraries you know show up where you'd expect?
• Drop in on a few and record your visits.
• Pan somewhere new and see how quickly it fills in.
• Anything that confuses you, even for a second, is worth mentioning.

Good to know

• The first time you look at a new area, libraries can take a few seconds to appear.
• Library details come straight from Street Library Australia. If one is missing or in the wrong spot, you can let Street Library Australia know through their website.
• Your visits stay on your phone.

Sharing what you think

• In the app, tap ? then Send feedback. It adds your app version and phone model, so a report can be matched to what you saw. It never includes your location.
• Or email hello@novelroute.app.
• About a week in, a five-question survey will be posted in the testers group. If you get the group's emails, it'll arrive that way too.

Leaving

Leave the group or choose Leave the program on the Google Play testing page whenever you like. Thanks for helping.
